JAEGER ART

Since 1993, the main activities of Arco Trading & Engineering  have been the import and export of precious metals and safety tools as well as selling Jaeger Art (Jæger Art in Danish). In the last two years sales of Jaeger Art has been the only activity in the company.

Jaeger Art items are sand-cast with a technique, which has been used for thousands of years.

The art items are made in close cooperation between the Danish artist Erling Andersen and the foundry’s owner, Kurt Jaeger. This is the main reason why these art objects are registered under the name of Jaeger Art.

The “Optimist and Pessimist” are the most coveted art objects and gift items.

We have quite a few of them back.

Optimist No. 2001 & Pessimist No. 2002, Height: 12 cm, Weight: 2 kg each; The art items look good on your shelf, on the piano, on the table, and they are ideal bookends.

“LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT” 

The Pessimist and the Optimist each received a basket full of apples.

The Pessimist said: “I’ll take the worst apple first and save the others for later”. He repeated that the next day, and the day after that, until all apples had been eaten.
The Optimist said: “I’ll take the best apple first and save the others for later”.  He repeated that the next day, and the day after that, until all apples had been eaten.

Result: the Pessimist ate the worst and the Optimist the best apples.
